The historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu admits per day,
- Low Season: 4,500 visitors per day.
- High Season: 5,600 visitors per day.
Tourists can choose only up to two circuits from the three available. The most popular circuits among visitors are 1 and 2, as these offer the classic photo opportunity.
Circuit 2 allows you to take a complete tour of the citadel, take a classic photo of Machu Picchu, and visit the entire citadel.
The circuits can be combined if there are no more spaces available on circuit 2, in which case circuit 1 and circuit 3 (the lower part of Machu Picchu) can be combined.
CIRCUIT 1.

- Specific Routes: Within Circuit 1, there are 4 different routes, depending on the ticket you choose:
- Machu Picchu Mountain (1A): A hike to the top of Machu Picchu Mountain, which offers spectacular views and the ideal panoramic photo. Ticket price: S/200.00 New Soles.
- Upper Terrace (1B): The tour of the upper terrace, ideal for the classic view of the city, S/ 152.00 NUEVOS SOLES.
- Inti Punku or Sun Gate (1C): Access to this natural viewpoint, offering a unique and different view of the city, S/ 152.00 Nuevo Sol.
- Inca Bridge (1D): A tour that includes a view of the ancient bridge, S/ 152.00 NEW SOLES.
CIRCUIT 2.
This is the most complete tour of the entire citadel of Machu Picchu, S/ 152.00 NEW SOLES.
- Classic Viewpoint: The starting point for taking the famous postcard photos of Machu Picchu.
- Guardian's House, also known as the Watchman's House, is located in the upper area.
- Agricultural Sector: The enormous terraces that adorn the lower part of the city.
- Temple of the Sun: An important astronomical and worship center.
- Temple of the Three Windows: Another emblematic construction on the site.
- Sacred Rock: A monumental stone that was used for rituals.
- Water Mirrors and Sacred Fountains: Architectural elements with a special design.
- Temple of the Condor: An area featuring sculptures of condors. Important Information
- Restrictions: Due to new regulations, access to the Intihuatana is closed.
- Reservations: It is crucial to book your tickets well in advance, especially during the high season (June to October), due to high demand.
CIRCUIT 3.
What is Circuit 3?
- Royal Route: This is one of the routes within the archaeological site of Machu Picchu.
- Tour of the lower area: This allows you to explore the main temples and structures in the lower part of the Inca city.
- Duration: Completing the basic circuit (not including the mountains) takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Variants of Circuit 3:
- Circuit 3A: S/ 200.00 NEW SOLES. Includes a visit to the archaeological site and a hike to the top of Huayna Picchu, the most famous mountain in Machu Picchu.
- Circuit 3B: S/ 152.00 NEW SOLES.This route is designed to be more accessible, without climbing the mountains, and focuses on the lower part of the temples.
- Circuit 3C: (Route of the Great Cave): S/ 200.00 NUEVOS SOLES, Available in high season, it offers a different and less crowded viewpoint, including the Great Cave.
- Circuit 3D (Huchuypicchu Route): S/ 152.00 NEW SOLES. Allows you to climb Huchuypicchu Mountain.
