We will start with the pick up from your accommodation at the scheduled time and then head to our first center of the visit which will be the main cathedral of the city of Cusco that houses works of the colonial era, at the end of the tour we will go to the temple of the sun Coricancha which was one of the main places of the Inca period, continuing our tour we will take our transport to go to the majestic site of Sacsayhuaman with its enigmatic monoliths of more than 100 tons and our guide will give you information about the place.
From Sacsayhuaman, we will continue in our transportation to the archaeological complex of Qenqo, to learn more about the history of the Incas and then move to the archaeological center of Puca Pucara and finally Tambomachay, an archaeological center with impressive water fountains and would have fulfilled an important religious function linked to water. finally, we will return to Cusco, where the tour ends at the Plaza de Armas or a coordinated point.
This day we will begin at approximately 6:40 am with the pick up from your accommodation and then go to the archaeological center of Chinchero where we will find buildings of Inca walls and its colonial church that holds enough colonial art, likewise, we will have a participation with the textile center where we will observe an exhibition of the process of wool, which has as an end of beautiful textiles.
Continuing with our tour we will visit the archaeological center of Moray, famous for its circular shape that was used in Inca times as a center of agricultural experimentation. Continuing with the tour we will descend to the salt mines of Maras, a picturesque place for its landscapes, we can observe more than 3000 salt wells that were and are used for consumption until today.
Then we will go to Urubamba where we will have a buffet lunch considering the great variety of Peruvian cuisine, after lunch we will continue with our tour to go to the archaeological center of Ollantaytambo, known as "the last living Inca village" for still maintaining the foundations of the Inca constructions, the center of Ollantaytambo and surroundings fulfilled different functions for its strategic location as religious, administrative and others.
Once finished with the visit to the archaeological center we will go to the selected accommodation and enjoy the night in Ollantaytambo.
In the morning you will approach the train station to board the train where you will have a fantastic trip through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the remote Vilcanota Canyon to the town of Aguas Calientes. Once you arrive there, our guide will pick you up at the train station and transfer you immediately to the Consettur bus station which is a shared service to the most spectacular ancient city in the world, which is Machu Picchu, (the bus ride takes about 30 minutes on an unpaved road) Machu Picchu was built by the Inca Pachacutec and composed of blocks of stone fitted with masterful precision.
This fabulous city has houses, temples, warehouses, and a large central square, all connected by narrow paths and steps, and is surrounded by terraces cut into the mountainside that was used for agriculture. we will have a guided tour of 02 hours and enough time to take souvenir photos, after the guided tour, our guide will give you all the instructions for your bus and train back. the train we can take to Ollantaytambo, Poroy, or San Pedro after coordination.
Upon arrival at the selected station, our staff will be waiting for you and then we will transfer you back to Cusco and finish the day.
